HELICOPTERS

HeliCharter Wales own and operate Bell JetRanger 206B helicopters, which can comfortably carry 4 passengers. Intercommunication between the pilot and passengers can be provided by a sophisticated noise-cancelling 'David Clark' and ‘Bose’ head-set system. This allows optional in-flight stereo communication and listening facilities. Other advantages of the JetRanger include luxurious leather interior, sound-proofing, excellent stability, immense power and global positioning satellite navigation system, which allow the helicopter to track along a designated route. Complimenting executive charter work, HeliCharter Wales also provide tailor made hospitality trips and exclusive business / special occasion lunches.

We are accustomed to dealing with an immediate request and have a quick response time, whatever the nature of the enquiry. We operate a twenty-four hour stand-by service and although we can only fly during daylight hours we can of course be available at sunrise.

GROUND SUPPORT UNITS

HeliCharter Wales offer a complete ground support service as and when required. This facility allows the helicopter to be refuelled at destinations where fuel is not available. The Ground Support Unit comprises:

• Uniformed ground crew with ground to air radios.
• Fuel support unit comprising of a Range Rover + Land Rover towing a specialist aviation fuel bowser, this also ensures the integrity of the fuel and minimising spillages.
• Fire-fighting and rescue equipment, housed in the above vehicle.
• The daily or part of day rate for the ground support fuel unit and crew is £300.00 plus VAT.

WEATHER

HeliCharter Wales always liaise prior to the operation with the Met Office. From this information we are able to obtain a fairly accurate three day forecast. If on the day, the weather is unsuitable and the machine has not left base then no cost is incurred by the client so long as the flights are re-scheduled. For planning purposes and if the nature of the charter allows, it is preferable to have a reserve date.
